How to care for hamsters.

When you buy a hamster you will need to buy special hamster food. The food is very important for your hamster. It's handiest if you purchase a hamster food containing all of the necessary vitamins that a hamster needs. The hamster's water has to be refreshed daily. You must buy a cage for your hamster otherwise your hamster(s) will try to escape. When you want to have two hamsters you wil want to know what gender they are. You can best have two females or a female and a male (if you want more hamsters) but it's not wise to have two males because they wil fight until one of them is dead or very badly injured. If you still want two males then don't put them in the same cage. The hamster's cage will need to be cleaned once a week. First,  you get all the wood chippings out of the cage and then you get all of the hay out of the hamster house. Now you can put clean wood chips and hay in the cage and house. If you want to have a very clean cage then you can wash all of the items from the cage (like the wheel, house, food holder, etc but NOT with the hamster). It's not handy to use soap with it because it is hard to rinse off and then your hamster could get it in him and he could die from it.

Never put your hamster in water because he will drowned in it.

The teeth of a hamster will always grow. In order to prevent that your hamster's teeth don't grow too long you can buy a chewing block. These are hard and wear down the hamster's teeth.
